These pictures of my girls were taken April 12, 2008:

Ciara has been bred to UKC Champion Sanal's I'm Making Tracks, "Tracker". The puppies were born October 6, 2008.

It turns out Cookie wasn't pregnant, so now she's been spayed. Here is a picture of her with her new "do".

Lucy was my special little girl. She was a special needs Yorkie. Even after her accident, she completed her therapy dog training and became a therapy dog. She was well loved at the nursing home when she visited every Monday evening. She never not get bred. She was born with bad knees that I didn't want to pass on.

2008 has been a rough year. My little Lucy broke her neck in February. After the surgery, I thought she would never walk again, but after a few weeks I could put her down to go potty on her own. Even though she got better and better, her movement was never right. I called her my little sidewinder, because sometimes her backend got ahead of her front. She had a very hard time walking on slippery floors, but boy could she move on the grass.

Lucy had such a happy spirit; such a teasing sense of humor. She couldn't climb the steps to get on my recliner anymore, so she would sit by my feet, look up at me and "grrrr" softly to get my attention. When I reached down to pick her up, she would move away. Then she would do it again and keep doing it until I got up to pick her up and put her on my lap.

On September 18th, Lucy, all of a sudden, started having trouble breathing. I rushed her to the vet to find out that she had congestive heart failure. They treated her with Lasix, but on the evening of 24th she passed away anyway.

At least I got some pictures of her that day, because it was Caesar's 2nd birthday.

Here's Caesar and Lucy. He's already stashed his treat somewhere and she's looking for a place to enjoy hers.

Lucy has found a good place to hide and enjoy her treat in peace.

Rest in peace my sweet little girl. Mama hopes to see you again someday.
